about.
During my final year of study, this module played a crucial role in preparing me for the transition into professional practice and potential postgraduate opportunities. It provided a valuable space to build upon the concepts and skills I had developed throughout my first and second years, allowing me to refine and apply them in real-world contexts.
I had the opportunity to engage with live briefs and freelance projects, which challenged me to think critically, manage time effectively, and respond creatively to client needs.
challenge.
One of the most significant outcomes of this module was the development of an industry-ready portfolio, which became a platform to showcase my growth as a designer. The process of curating and presenting my work helped me gain clarity on my strengths, design identity, and future direction within the creative industries.
This module gave me the opportunity to develop a range of external communication skills within an entrepreneurial context, helping me bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world professional aspirations. Spanning two semesters, it allowed me to refine my professional profile and gain a deeper understanding of fundamental business practices essential for navigating the creative industry.
result.
Through this process, I was able to clearly identify my target audience, define my position within the design industry, and confidently promote my work in preparation for future opportunities—whether in employment, freelance practice, or postgraduate study.
Testimonial.
"Your personal voice comes through clearly in both the visual presentation and the annotations, which are articulate, insightful, and demonstrate genuine engagement with your design process. The result is a document that communicates both your process and your personality effectively”.
